Everything You Need for Healthy Vision
During a comprehensive eye exam, we will provide a series of tests to check your vision and look for signs of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other eye conditions. In addition to providing eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions, we can reverse the negative effects of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatisms with advanced laser technology and a variety of treatment options.
During your eye exam, we will discuss all the treatments available to you and answer any questions you may have.
At Montgomery Eye Care, we can provide PRK surgery, premium intraocular implantation, LASIK surgery, KAMRA and Teardrop Inlay, and more. During your eye exam, we will discuss all the treatments available to you and answer any questions you may have.
Cataracts generally begin forming in patients 60 years or older, although genetics and diabetes can lead to earlier development. Common symptoms of cataracts include cloudy/blurry vision, light sensitivity, poor night vision, and dullness in colors. Although eyeglasses and contact lenses can provide temporary relief, surgery will eventually be needed to repair your vision. At Montgomery Eye Care, we use advanced laser technology to remove the damaged natural lenses, and can replace them with premium intraocular lenses and ICL implantable lenses, such as Visian ICL™, Crystalens® IOL implants, ReSTOR® IOL, TECNIS® Multifocal Lens, and TECNIS® Toric IOL.
As one of the leading causes of blindness in the United States, glaucoma is a disease that creates abnormal amounts of pressure on the optic nerve. When pressure increases, it affects the optic nerves’ ability to send correct messages from the retina to the brain, which can cause eye pain, headaches, blurred vision, and blindness. Initial treatment for this incurable disease may include medicated eye drops, but patients will eventually need laser eye surgery and premium intraocular lenses to release the pressure and prevent loss of vision.
Macular Degeneration Treatment
Macular degeneration negatively affects macula cells in the retina responsible for your central vision, which is essential for focusing on small details and basic skills, such as reading and driving. Symptoms include blurred vision, shadows, difficulty seeing details, and straight lines appearing wavy. If left untreated, macular degeneration can lead to complete loss of vision. Although there are currently no treatments available for dry macular degeneration, we can provide laser treatments to treat wet macular degeneration.
Chronic Dry Eye Treatment
Chronic dry eye (CDE) is when the eyes under-produce tears, or when the tears leave the eye too quickly, preventing the eye from forming a normal tear film. Symptoms of chronic dry eye include excessive tearing, redness, irritation, burning sensation, excessive mucus, and difficulty wearing contact lenses. Treatments may include medicated eye drops, prescription medications, and surgery to plug the tear ducts.
Diabetic Eye Treatment
Patients with Type I and Type II Diabetes should undergo a comprehensive eye exam at least once each year so that early symptoms of diabetic retinopathy can be detected. Although the early symptoms are virtually undetectable without a routine exam, common symptoms may include blurred vision, flashes of light, floaters, and loss of vision. If left untreated, glaucoma, retinal detachment, and blindness can occur. Our doctors can provide laser surgery to shrink abnormal blood vessel growth and repair your vision.

"My friend referred me to Dr. Montgomery who was VERY patient, and determined I had a virus, complicated by dry eye. I have been working with him for over about two years now, and my eye is MUCH better under his very professional care. If you have an ongoing problem, or just need a good eye doc, I highly recommend him."Review From ratemds.com
