Ryan Dugan, O.D.
Dr. Ryan Dugan, OD is an Optometrist certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, specializing in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Dugan started his education at the University of Oregon, majoring in Human Physiology and graduating with honors. He then continued his academic career at Pacific University College of Optometry, graduating with distinction. As a student, Dr. Dugan was an active member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA) and the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. For his work advocating for the profession of optometry, he was awarded OOPA’s student of the year in 2017. After Optometry school,
Dr. Dugan went on to pursue a residency program at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. There he received a year of advanced education in ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation. He has worked in private, commercial, and hospital settings helping patients with eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
In addition to his local experience, he has also participated in international trips through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, providing care to under-served populations in Africa and Asia. Dr. Dugan is passionate about providing quality eye care, while empowering patients to understand their diagnoses. When not in the clinic, Dr. Dugan enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
